Hello all and greetings from Austin. I never blog I know but when I do.. I get ya caught up right? So here's whats been happening.

Riverwalk San Antonio

In May, Mariah, Lincoln, Ada, Carli, and Mariah's mom went to San Antonio for the day. It's such a cool town!

Lincoln decided to run away up these steps so here I am capturing the little run away.

We walked along the river walk and they had this little waterfall that was cool.

Sydney's Graduation
At the end of May my cute cousin graduated from high school here in the area so my dad flew out for it and that was nice to be with family for a weekend.

Michael Buble Concert

Carli Scott (The other Office Assistant) and I decided last minute that we wanted to see Michael Buble. We were lucky to get decent priced tickets just a few days before the show. It was great!

Sea World
One Sunday we decided to go to Sea World in San Antonio with Luke, Mariah & the kids.

Here we all are. Me Bridge, Luke, Mariah, and her sister (who played nanny for 3 weeks :)) So fun having her here! Op and lil Lincoln w/ his ba ba and Ada is underneath

River Swimming

One day a bunch of people from our office decided to go to this cool place called Hammilton Pools. Well we drove an hour out there and it was closed for the day ha! So we played in a river near by for a few hours.

Lincolns Birthday

Look who turned 2! Lincoln Logger turned 2 on June 23. We celebrated the following Sunday so the men could join! He has a ton of "Cars" toys now. He loves Lightning McQueen.

Now I told you before, Texas has Blue Bell ice cream..the best ice cream out there.. and my 2 year old nephew agrees. :)

4th of July

Bridger took the day off this year for the 4th. We met up with my cousins and went to Marble Falls. They had fireworks over the lake. We swam in the pool and lake and then had a picnic on the grass. It was a fun day.

Other Happenings
We found a super yummy pizza place called Home Slice Pizza on Congress Ave in downtown Austin. The other morning we drove 25 minutes just go eat some home slice Yum!

We're loving our little niece and nephew Ada Beta & Lincoln Log

I'm over at Mariah's a lot. I'm getting to be a pro at giving Lincoln baths without crying ha.. ok it was only one time he didn't cry.. what can I say, the kid hates any water on his head!

Little Miss Ada is 2 months old now and smiling and cooing.. It happened overnight! Love the little puiker (she spits up like no other! :))

And there are a TON of Bats out here. Just driving the other day at dusk there are just swarms of bats. Our backyard is a golf course and the bats are out there every night. We have to talk on the phone on our balcony because we don't have service in our house (I know fun huh) and at night I swear some nights bats are about to fly right into the balcony!
Other than that.. I'm getting ready to teach 2nd grade this fall at Provo Peaks Elementary. I'm really excited for it. I've been going to all the Goodwill's out here buying childrens books for my class library. I have been getting a lot of fun ideas for my classroom. I'm going to be doing a camping/outdoor theme in my room. Which is kind of funny since I hate outdoors ha ha but there are just so many cute things you can do with it. I ordered a little indoor campfire simulator that will be so fun to use!

Salesman update

Bridger is selling great. He just recently broke 100 sales which is awesome because that's about how many he did last year, so to be at 100 by the 1/2 way summer mark is great news and he is now pushing for 200 sales. He has not had any health problems like last year (knee problems, & headaches) which we're grateful for! I am headed back to UT at the end of the month with the puppers (which are doing well-they are ready to go back to having a big yard to run in though). My mamma is flying out to visit and then is going to drive back to UT with me.

Shout out to BFF Stacie!-Congrats!

When I get home I'm so excited because my best friend Stacie is getting married after a tough year of loosing her first husband. I'm so happy for her and her children.
I'll be UT bound soon! Just getting over a week long migraine that has been really fun. Hopefully it goes away completely here in a few days. Hope all is well with all of you. Until next time!

I love my new niece and nephew Ada, and Lincoln sooo much!

Can't wait to see little ADA again tomorrow. Mariah and the kids are coming out to Austin tonight. I am so excited! Lincoln can't say Courtney so he calls me Taz (my dogs name). We were at Tucanos before we left celebrating Mariah and Bridgers birthdays and Lincoln just started going around the table saying every ones name and pointing to them. He'd say "pop pop" "gma" "Zzzak" "B" then he looked at me, then looked away and said Taz... ha ha even on the phone with Mariah yesterday she said Lincoln do you want to say hi to Aunt Court. And he said Hi Taz. ha ha love the little guy. Hopefully this summer I can get him to learn how to say his favorite aunts name! ha ha

AUSTIN

I finished my last course work semester at BYU a few weeks ago and we are now living in Austin for the summer. I'm so excited to be here because we have family close by! Bridger has been selling like a mad man and I love it! He was top rep in the office last week selling 9 accounts in his first week. This week he has already topped that with 11 and we still have Saturday. I hope this is his best summer yet!

We spent mothers day with my Aunt Kara and my cousinsChowder was just getting settled and we moved! isn't he cute!

Our view from the back porch. It's a golf course. Every night there are fireflies at dusk under that patch of trees. It's fun to watch them.There are also apparently snakes in that ditch in between me and the golf course.. Hope I don't run in to any on my balcony or out walking the puppers.

Last Sunday we went to our new ward for the summer. This sweet lady hugged me to welcome me after sacrament. I love the church! You can just go anywhere in the world, and feel loved and like you are right at home again.

After church we decided to see some of downtown Austin. When we got home from church it was 95 degrees. Hot Hot. When we left an hour and a half later to go see down town, it was 68 degrees and freezing compared to what it was before! It was crazy! We first went walking up on Congress Street. Can you tell why it is called that? It's this really long street that goes up a hill and gives you a perfect view of the capitol building.

We were driving down the road and Bridge said oh look at that cool carriage! I hurried and snapped a picture and didn't even realize the background lol

We're loving it here in Austin so far. Can't wait to have Mariah and the kids out here tomorrow!

Good News All Around

Hello Friends, I know it has been awhile, but I have been super duper busy in a fourth grade classroom at Spring Creek Elementary. I am just finishing Practicum #2, and I feel like I have learned so so much about how to be a teacher! I am no longer nervous to stand in front of 25 little bodies and teach and instead I just have fun with it! I love 4th grade, they are so creative and fun.

I was also lucky enough to work out missing a week of the practicum (of course I made up the hours) but I got to go on the Platinum Cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel! It was so great, although I missed my fab sister-in-law Mariah who was too preggers to come.

Now Meet The Newest Addition to the Harrison Family
CHOWDER We got him for Tazzer to have a friend, and ever since we got him this is what they do. Play Play Play!Now for the greatest news yet. Last Wednesday I had a crazy scary interview with 7 schools in Provo district all in the same day, they split them into two rooms. I interviewed for an internship for next year. I got a call about 3:30 that afternoon and my BYU teacher told me that I was offered an internship at the new Provo Peaks Elementary! The school building will be brand new and I will be teaching the lower grades, mostlikely 2nd. I'm super excited! I can't believe it! I'll have my own classroom and be a real teacher next year.

Where oh where will we be going?

Last weekend we had the annual Platinum Protection draft where office managers come together and get to pick their location for the coming summer! This year I was nervous because my brother in law Luke (who is also our manager) was thinking about picking Louisiana and my sister in law and I said BOOO to that! So we were nervous he would pick there and not where we really wanted to go. Well we were 5th pick, and the boys went up there and we were so nervous but then they said...YES! We were so excited!!!Go Long Horns!

These awesome people we are sitting with have been in our office for the past few years and this year they started another office and will be in DALLAS! Yay for Texas!

So why am I so excited to go to Texas? I mean we've been there before!.. (other cities, but still)

This is my dad's sister (Kara) and her family! (Sydney, Wyatt, & Jack)
They have lived in Austin forever! So we hardly ever get to see them, so it will be so fun to have each other all summer! The extra great thing about this is that this means my family will for sure come and visit during the summer, AND possibly even my grandparents because of Sydneys graduation!! Yay!Another reason for my happiness about Texas is this divine ice cream that I will consume gallons upon gallons of over the months of April to August. Love the Blue Bell!!!!!

Taz, Tazzer, Tazerina, Bubbers, PuppersI love this little guy and he loves me! He's such a cuddler when he is tired. He cracks me up every day. He is always there to play with or talk to. He's a little watch dog. I'm so glad we got him over a year ago he's my lil pal! Lately he's been so cold because of the weather and because we turn the heater off at night so he's wearing a little apparel here.

Bathroom Makeover! Before & After

So Bridge and I got new bathroom linens we had picked out for Christmas so we did a bathroom makeover! Check it out! It took us one week. We still don't have the new curtain up but we have to alter it first.It was so much work, I don't know how people re do their whole house like my friends Tash and Tiff! You guys are amazing!

Wanted to share a few things about why
I love the little people & teachingFirst, saw this today as I was driving in a round a bout so I snapped a pic with my crummy phone so I'm surprised it turned out. These kids had just gotten dropped off by the bus after school. This lil guy decided he wanted a ride from his friend. Hysterical

Second, I saw this video a few days ago, this little girl is the cutest thing. It's kinda long but it just gets better and better.

And this is my lovely 3rd grade class I got to spend 4 weeks teaching last month! How I miss them!(The real them lol)

I love my lil nephew Lincoln Log more than any child out there!! He is absolutely hilarious and will mimic just about anything you do. Love him to pieces and can't wait to have his lil sis here in April! I Can't stop thinking about all the cute stuff I'm going to spoil her with!

Fall Update.

It was so great to come back to Provo from Houston in August. As soon as we got home I got hair extensions. Here is a before and after shot

I absolutely love them. I feel like a totally different person in a good way. We'd been home all of a week and we were able to go with some people from our office/region to Cancun over Labor Day weekend. We had a ball!Here we are on the Catamaran to Isla de Mujera. Got stung by a sea creature later this day while snorkeling. Still have a scar!Here is Bridger and Beamer as they are coming back onto the catamaran.

Here is the view from our room. The pool was awesome. We had all the strawberry dacre's we could ask for. Here is a group of us at Outback the night before we left.
Here is the picture some of you have been dying to see. Me in the wheelchair at the airport. We were at the ticket counter checking in and suddenly I got light headed out of nowhere. I told Bridge I was going to pass out and he told me to sit down but I couldn't see anywhere to sit down and I didn't want to just sit down at the counter ha ha so he handed me our passports to hold and I just dropped them and stared blankly at him. He picked them up and handed them to me again and I just dropped them again. I was so out of it. At this point he knew I was really going and then I just wilted down. Sooo Embarrassing! Our whole office was in line behind us because we were one of the first ones in line. So the medical team gets me a wheelchair takes me to medical and checks me out. I was fine just got lightheaded. They had me stay in the wheelchair until we got on the plane which was good because I felt like I was going to pass out again when Bridger was getting some treats in the store for me for the flight. Weird day!!

We took our annual St. George trip with the Harrison's this year and it was awesome. We saw the amazing Tuachan show Tarzan. It was the best one I've seen so far!
We took our semi annual trip with my parents to Fish Lake for a weekend. I caught lots of fish. Bridge caught a few too. It was a blast to get out in the mountains for a few days. Tammy and Gary came up for dinner one night and brought Taz because they watched him for us since dogs weren't allowed in the cabin.We celebrated our 2 year anniversary at Chefs Table it was a nice gift from my parents.
I got Bridger a watch box so he could keep his watches organized and nicely displayed. He was excited.In October my friends and I threw my best friend Stacie a fundraiser garage sale to raise money for her and her kids because of her recent loss.I've been able to spend more time with Stace these past two months than we have been able to spend in the last few years. She is an amazingly strong woman and I love her so much!

TEACHING

I've recently been doing my practicum for this semester. This is where I've been in an elementary school for 4 weeks working with a teacher and teaching a few lessons throughout the week. I was there for Halloween and that was so much fun! I was an Egyptian and the kids loved that I dressed up. I was in a 3rd grade class and absolutely loved it. Next semester I will be doing my practicum with an upper grade class either 4-6th. It was such a good experience, a lot of work but I loved it.

We'll be spending Thanksgiving with the Harrison's this year in Aurora.

Colton Johnston died at the tender age of 21 due to complications of a car accident. He left behind the love of his life Stacie after just 3 1/2 years of marriage and their two small children Oaklee (3 yrs) and Bridger (7 months). Colton had no life insurance and due to a recent job change their health insurance had not yet become effective. Not only did he leave his family to grieve over his loss, but now they are left with the worry of how to take care of all the hospital and funeral costs. My heart broke yesterday when I returned home from a trip and found one of my best friends waiting for me. She told me the terrible news that my best friends husband had passed away that morning due to complications from a car accident. Chelsea and I ran to Stacies as soon as I found out. She is being so strong and is an amazing woman. Colton was an amazing father to his two beautiful children and a wonderful husband to my dearest friend. He loved her so much. He will be missed so much. My heart goes out to the Johnston and Eagar family. I love you guys, hang in there.

Summer Time Update

My cute cute nephew Lincoln turned One on June 23rd!

On the Fourth of July, Me, Mariah, Lincoln, Laurie, and Bostyn went to the Stafford City parade and festivities, It was a funny short parade on a residential street but the people here were very nice and a family invited us to sit in their lawn.

A few weeks ago my awesome mom came and visited Bridger and I. It was so fun having her here we had a lot of fun together! We were able to go to Austin for a night to visit my dads sister Kara and her kids.They took us to this creek, you can see a waterfall in the background. If you know me, you know this wasn't my element. We had to walk through tall weeds to get here. Of course I was the only one to get bit by a bug.

Austin is known for being a weird town. Kara and the kids took us around downtown, it was really fun. They had some crazy fun wall art including this one!

I finally turned 21

and it was great having my mom there to celebrate with me since Bridge had to go to work. Bridge, mom and I went to breakfast that morning at Dennys then for lunch mom and I went with a bunch of the wives in the office to Olive Garden my favorite, then we went and got a manacure and pedicure. That night we did cake and ice cream with Luke and Mariah. It was a great birthday I'm glad i'm FINALLY 21! I recieved many bday wishes from family it was so nice!(mom made a collage of the day, click the photo to enlarge)

On the 23rd Mariah, Lincoln, Brooke and I went to Utah for the 24th festivities. Mom went home earlier that day. The 24th is one of my favorite holidays of the year so I couldn't miss the parade with the Stauffers and Claytons.
On the 25th Mom, Dad and I headed for California for a family reunion at the beach. On our drive down I got to visit my lovely inlaws Gary and Tammy is Salina. We met up with the rest of the family at the hotel, Kara and the kids even came from Texas as well. It was good to see my sis too since I only get to see her every few months now that she lives in AZ.

We had a great time for the 3 days at the beach. One night we had dinner up on the roof around a campfire thing they had set up and got some good sun at Laguna beach. We had lots of laughs, sometimes too much laughing that one can handle ha ha. We watched family videos and laughed at how little we used to be. I had one day in Hemet and I got to go see Grandpa Tom's headstone and my Aunts mom Nancy's headstone. It was good to say hi and that I miss them. It was good to see Grandma Marilyn too. I flew out of Cali back to Houston where I met back up with Brooke and Mariah.

Now we have 2 1/2 weeks left of selling then back to Utah for good. Bridger has had a lot of trouble with his knees and had some killer headaches lately so he has not been able to sell as well as he wanted to but he'll still hit his revised goal and we'll be fine. It was good to see our house while I was back in Utah, can't wait to go back! But not ready for school :(

Tim McGraw concert!

A few weeks ago Mariah & Brooke found out that Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum were coming to Dallas on June 12th. They found 3 tickets on ebay for a great price that were great seats. I was in 100% and we really did it. We really went! Dallas was 4 hours from here but the ride went way fast with 3 talkative girls! We got back home at 2:30 in the morning. The concert was amazing and we even saw Kevin Jonas there with his wife!Lady AntebellumTimmy sang lots of my favorites. He put on a great show

He looked great as ever!Kevin Jonas. He was escorted in and out by a security guard inbetween singers.

We had an awesome time, so worth the drive! Thanks Mariah & Brooke!

Astros Game

A few Sunday's ago Bridge and I went to the Astro Cub game in downtown Houston. We went with our buddy Chris from Gunnison who is working for APEX here in Houston as well doing the same thing! I was totally expecting it to be a hundred and something degrees sitting in the sun for a few hours but when we got there, I saw thisINDOOR STADIUM!!!!

Oh it was so comfortable sitting there for a few hours we had a blast. We had all you could eat meal voucher so we had lots to eat!Hot Dogs!
Chris took the picture, I was hoping he could get the whole Astro's sign but it's all good, we're in the team mosh pit instead!

Lincoln is 11 months old!

I'm Taz this is my moms blog but I wanted to tell you something It's summer vacation and we just moved to a new place,
I'm bored

I'm sick of watching TV with mom

I asked mom if she knew any friends I could play with and she knew a few!Meet my new friend Zoe!

Zoe was really fun and even introduced herself.

I like playing with Zoe, she is small and jumps all over me.

Later that week, I was bored when mom was at work, and the new couch just seemed so appealing for some reason, so I kind of ripped it up. Mom wasn't really happy when she got home and then she fixed it somehow. Then the next day I did it again and I got in big trouble. She fixed it again but it doesn't look the same at all.. whoops. So now mom takes me to work with her. Sometimes when she takes me to work, one of my other new friends Chewy comes by to play. It's so fun because we chase each other around and steal each others toysSee his cool racoon toy in the back. We love to wrestleWell my days have brightened up since I met my new friends. Mom got mad at me last night because while we were on one of our walks my leash broke when I went chasing after another dog I didn't know. I kind of ran in like 10 circles before I realized she was chasing me, that other dog was just so big and cool! I need to learn how to listen better. I'm going to get my hair cut tomorrow, I hate that, I'm afraid it is going to hut!

Pasadena Strawberry Festival

What?! Another post so soon! From the Harrisons? I know crazy huh! But I told you I would get better during the summer! On Sunday we went to the Pasadena Strawberry Festival, It was a town fair with music, booths, arts and crafts, pig racing etc! It was a lot of fun, it was a really warm day though and it was super muddy from the recent rainstorm on Friday! Also, I've just got to say just how much I love Houston! People are sooo incredibly nice here! In DC we never had random people wave while driving by in the parking lot or even while we were at this fair there was a cowboy man sitting down and as we walked by I just smiled and then he says How ya'll doin. Just so nice! Some other ladies we sat down by at the picnic table found out we weren't from here and that it was our first time to the festival and she went and got us a a schedule of all the events and told us what to go see and stuff. SOOO NICE! Our ward is the best too, they put on an ice cream social just for all us new comers and every week they are so nice to us and love that we are there! It was a pretty small ward to begin with so I love that I can see familiar faces already. I would really love to live here and I tell Bridger that every time some random person is kind to us or I see tree lined streets with pretty houses on it but he thinks I'll change my mind once the real heat kicks in! I think i'd be fine with a pool though!They had strawberry everything! This was a table of strawberry short cake, but they had chocolate covered strawberries, and fresh strawberries for sale. Bridge couldn't pass up the chocolate covered ones!This was my kind of booth! Love the slushies!Some good quality circus like entertainment The view of downtown on our way there!

Bridger couldn't pass up all the yummy food! Standing next to this booth was like 200 degrees though because they had a bunch of stove things going, it was unbearable!Bridge had to get a picture of his massive chunk of meat! He didn't really get it, but we saw plenty of people walking around with them! Ha ha It was a bit muddy! It took me a few minutes to wipe all the mud off my feet so I could get into the car!Yum!

The Drive

Here are some pics from the 24 hour drive to Houston! Taz was recently groomed and was super fluffy and poodle looking, he is now back to his normal self!He did really well! he liked his little spot in the back, he'd cry and scratch the window when he needed out to potty so luckily we found places that had a little grass for him!

Day 2 On the Road again. Bridger was so great to drive all the way! I'm still not used to driving his big car!Dose #2 of benadryl. Once again with my bag and 10 pounds of him, there wasn't much room for my feet!

There are a lot of wives again this summer, so I got a lot of good motivation ideas to help Bridger meet his goal! He loves filling in the P lock sign, there are 165 squares to fill in.This one is a monthly stats chart. we fill in how many he gets for the day and then add it up for the week.This one is weekly stats. I made a bar chart for each week last year and the red bars are this year and that way he can compare last year to this year. The top half has pictures of his incentives so he can look at them everyday and remember some fun things he is working for!

This was at Cheesecake factory late after work on Bridger's birthday! This is our very favorite show! We look forward to Thursday's because we can watch it online since we miss it on Wednesday nights usually since B works until like 11pm! If you haven't seen it, I recommend watching them online because it is hilarious and always ends with an awesome message!

We are loving Houston so far, there was a monster thunderstorm yesterday but it was kind of cool. Bridger is enjoying selling so that's good. Our complex is great, although there have been a lot of wildlife! ha ha more than I thought at least. There are turtles, squirrles, frogs, snakes, and lizards! Who would have known!

I'm proud to say I finished the 16.5 credits this semester at BYU! It was killer! It took so much time and stress and work but I made it through and learned my lesson that I never want to tackle that many credits again. I'd rather do very well in fewer classes than just good in a lot of classes. I'm looking forward to having more time to myself this next semester with just 13 credits. During this winter break we had an early Christmas with my family since we'll be with the Harrisons this year. We had a ham dinner and Bridgers parents and brother Zak joined us, it was nice! We exchanged presents as well. My parents are in Hawaii right now for a few more days during their break then they are going to Hemet for Christmas and Kristin will meet them there.
We will be with the Harrisons and then be headed to Cancun on the 26th for a week! Can't wait! Really needed this break.

We have been able to get together with some friends which has been nice. I'm glad we can get out of the regular routine. We went out with Devin and Sam, and James and Brittany to Tucanos and it was really fun catching up again.

I also had my friends Andrea and Chelsea over with their boys to make gingerbread houses, it was really fun!Also got to have a girls lunch with some of my best friends Stacie, Chelsea, Andrea, and Haley. It was so much fun catching up and reminiscing about old times.

Thanksgiving and New Pup

This year for Thanksgiving we went to California to be with the California Browns. We had a great time down there. It was so nice and warm! We went to the movie Blind Side while we were there and also New Moon in St.George. It was a fun quick get away, it was definatly hard to go back to school and back to Utah and this freezing weather. Oh well we've got Cancun to look forward to on Dec. 26th :) Mom took family pictures of course here is one of us on my Aunt Janelles Grandmas old chair.

We got a puppy! Finally Bridger let me get one! Even though I'm afraid of dogs ha ha. We named him TAZ. He is a maltipoo. We got him from a lady in Layton. He is a sweet pup. Defiantly a puppy though ha ha bites everything!Finals are coming up next week, it's going to be stressful but it's almost all over and then I can have a break! It's been sooo cold up here especially in the mornings I hate it!

We finally had the top part of our wedding cake that has been frozen, and we had to admit it was kinda yucky since it had been frozen, I'm sure Bridge might have eaten more, but he is eating healthy now and didn't want to eat a bunch of cake! School is still rough but we're plugging through and next semester is in sight! For Halloween we went to our ward party and we were a bunny and a hunter, kinda lame but it is what we came up with, we carved pumpkins and that was fun! We had the Platinum end of year party a few weeks ago and it was great seeing everyone again. Lincoln is getting so big! He was a monkey for Halloween and looked so cute!

Fun Filled Weekend!

We celebrated our one year anniversary this weekend on October 10th, I can believe it's been a year lol everyone always says can you believe it's already been a year! Bridger and I have really been together for 2 years since we dated for a year before getting married. We went to lunch to celebrate and exchanged gifts which were both watches!

Then we headed to Salina for Gary's 50th birthday, we planned to go to lunch with just us kids and Tam and Gary (so Gary thought) But really Tammy arranged to have all of his brothers and sisters come and surprise him and to go out to dinner. Tammy even got a Hurst for him to ride in to the restaurant. It was a blast. Mariah put together this awesome book that said like 50 reasons why we love you and had everyone contribute with their favorite memories, why he's a good example, why he's a great father and father-in-law etc, it was really neat. Lincoln is getting so big I just love him to death! It was a fun weekend! We also had a BBQ with Shane & Jacie, Flint & Ashley and some other friends and we ended up going on a scavenger hunt for red bull on UVU campus! We found the prize!Our gifts

Back to Utah!

Why hello fellow bloggers! It's been way too long! We are finally back home in Utah. We left Maryland a few weeks ago and stopped at my grandpas grave in PA, and also tried to visit my cousin on a mission in PA (turns out I missed him by 10 minutes!). Then we stopped in Kirtland to see the church sites, and then Nauvoo the next day. It was fun to see those sites, I've always wanted to see. We got home with a few days to spare before school started and went to Seven Peaks and down to Salina for a four wheeler drive and to el mexicanos, also to the movies and out to dinner, so Bridge could get his summer in in one week! We crashed with my parents for a week and a half before we were able to get into our wonderful new home! It's great we love it so much! I love that we don't have to turn down the tv for neighbors or be super quiet! We finally have a place of our own.

School is so long for me! I'm on campus from 8am to 5 and 6 pm every day but Fridays and it's tough to stay there all day! I'm not used to having to go an hour early to get parking and to stay on campus even between classes. I feel like I live there! I'm taking 16.5 credits and it's 8 classes, it's tiring. I've never woken up at 6 am so much in my life, and it seems this is the way it will be for awhile! Bridge is taking 3 classes over at UVU and I am jealous he gets done by 11 am everyday!

We got Bridge a new car which just happens to be my dream car, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee! It's black and is freaking sweet if you ask me! He likes it too! I can't wait to inherit it in the next few years.

I got a little netbook for school since my computer is once again broken, so really that is my excuse to why I haven't blogged in a month, because all my pics were on my computer! And once again I don't have pics because honestly who knows where the cords are right now in all this move in of a mess! But I have one of us and the house, courtesy of Mary Brown!

So that's what we've been up to!! We're loving life and are so grateful we're able to be homeowners already at our age!Home Sweet Home!

Mariah and I flew back to Utah with my family for a few days. We wanted to be there for the 24th of July festivities, and I had house hunting to do! Oh and of course Mariah had to show the new baby to family! It was a great quick trip. The first day I got there I was so loopy off Dramamine and could hardly function but Chelsea and I went and got a wonderful snow cone and drove around. Day 2 house hunted with dad and agent Sharlene and found the one! Day 3 was the 24th so I went to the parade with the family and had the usual picnic in the park afterwards. Later that night, Chelsea, me and her room mate Sam went to the SF Rodeo which was a blast!Day 4 cut and colored my hair. My lovely in laws came up to go look at a few more houses with me my mom and our agent. We looked at a few more and then "the one" again and they loved it and I love it! So afterwards we got all the info and put an offer down. Turns out they counter offered 2 days later for only 2K more so we're accepting that and just working through the loan financing now, so hopefully it all works out! It's so cute! later that day my mom did a fun photo shoot with me in Payson and then I went to dinner with a few of my closest friends Stace, Chels and Andrea! It was so much fun!

Long Post! including family visiting DC, NY trip take 2, 20th B-day & heading to Utah

On July 16th my lovely family came out to visit us here in Maryland! It was soo much fun! I took them all around D.C and then Bridge even got to come with us to go to NY for 2 days. Which was a great idea and a good booster for him since this summer is coming to an end it's hard to keep going strong. So while my family was here I took them to the Washington Monument, World War 2 memorial, Vietnam wall, Lincoln memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust museum, Air and Space, Natural History, the White House, the Capitol, and some gardens! While in NYC we went to Wicked! Which was amazing!! We took an all day double Decker bus tour and went through Chinatown and saw the Empire State building, ground zero, the statue of liberty, Wall Street, Yankee's game (mom and dad went to Letterman and got to see Amy Poehler)etc. It was a blast! We came back to D.C on my 20th birthday, it was a rainy morning in NY but DC was nice and we went and had Mexican for din din! Thanks fam for the great trip! I flew back to Utah with them on the 22nd!

where to rent... before we buy??

So we're facing a dilemma. We'd love to buy house when we get home and have been working with a realtor and I’m going to be looking at a few when I go home for a visit next week. However we know the process takes time and with the way we get paid from Platinum in 2 big backend checks in October and January we're going to need to rent somewhere until everything is finished and finalized. So the problem is where do we live for 2 or 3 months? Nowhere in Provo/Orem offers month to month renting, and I can understand why but you'd think somebody would offer it. So if anybody knows of anything that is available to rent, 1 bed 1 bath is just fine let me know!

American History Museum

Tammy and I went to the American History Museum on Saturday, when we first walked in there was a show about to start about the "sit in's" in the 70's so this guy came in singing and saying how everyone deserves the same rights and he started to tell the history of the sit in's and what happened. they had the actual counter from the diner there at the museum and they passed around some of the original menu's from that diner, well suddenly while i'm holding the menu looking at it they said ok who has a menu in their hand? I tried to hurry and pass it because I knew I was in for something ha ha and they asked me to come up and participate in a reinactment of a sit in. Well of course its 3 black people and a me (little white girl) lol so It was just funny but luckily I didn't have to say anything and nobody said anything they just had the crowd come stand right behind us and we had to just feel how it would have felt to have people that hated you right behind you breathing down your neck. It was a cool experience. We saw a few other things in D.C including the inside of the house where Abe Lincoln died, and his real tophat.

Last week my awesome mother in law came out to visit and to see her new grandbaby! Mariah's mom had one day left to visit so we decided to check out the National Cathedral which is soo old and huge huge! Later that night I took her mom and my mother in law Tammy on the D.C twilight tour on the old trolley. The twilight tour was so beautiful! Seeing sites at sunset and at night is a totally different experience! It was great!

Before Mariah's mom left we all went to Mount Vernon on Sunday to see George Washington's estate in Virgina. It was really neat to see the bed he actually died in and to walk through his home and to see his tomb. It rained on us a little bit so my hair went totally curly but the weather was perfect! We've been lucky to have relativley cool Sundays for site seeing. The back porch of his house overlooks the potomic river and it the prettiest view I've seen out here!

For the fourth of July this year Bridge had to work until 3 so when he got home we had a big pool party with the rest of the office, out to dinner at on the border and then watched the fireworks on our roof. We could see downtown D.C's in the distance but the University of Maryland's were closer. It was a fun day :)

This last Sunday I thought I would show Bridge Georgetown here in D.C It's lined with all of these shops and of course has the very best cupcakes everyone says. Bridge wanted to get another cupcake.. or more than one :) To our surprise when we went to the cupcake place, the line was so so so long compared to last time, and we waited over a half hour, but B says it was worth it! I'm proud to say I'm an AUNT!!!
This morning Mariah went in to labor (11 days early) So I went over to Harbor Hospital where she was and visited with her and Luke for awhile and she was progressing really well. She only pushed for about a half hour and then he came! He's so tiny! He's 6 pounds 19 inches long, he has a little bit of hair but not much! Lincoln Luke was born around 4 p.m!

Luke was snapping photos and Mariah was resting talking to her family. They're both so happy!

D.C tragedys

Living out here in D.C we knew we were at higher risk than in Utah, but we never really thought anything would happen. Turns out a few weeks ago when we went to the Holocaust Museum, there was the deadly shooting 3 days after we were there. We take the metro at least twice a week and were on it just yesterday.. The fort totten station is 3 stops away from where we get on. Today was the worst Metro crash ever and 6 people have been reported dead so far. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of these victims.This is scary living out here, and we're literally really lucky that we've dodged these two bullets so far, Hopefully we don't have to dodge anymore and can stay safe here!

I just thought i'd throw a little tribute out to my wonderful dad since fathers day was yesterday. I felt bad we couldn't be there to get him something nice and to spend the day with him since we're here in Maryland. My dad is the greatest dad, he's always supportive of our work and schooling decisions. He's so caring and always cares about what we're up to and how we're doing, and how B is doing selling. He always wants whats best for Bridger and I and thats something I just love about him. He is such a down to earth man and always has high standards that I look up to. Thanks for all you do dad I love you always!!!!

This Saturday we wern't sure that we would go out because the weather has been so crazy, but it started to clear up so we thought we'd got to the National Archives building. It was really neat! We came up out of the metro at the stop and there was the Navy Memorial with a cool fountain and stuff! The Archives building itself was cool we saw the Constiution, Bill of Rights, Emancipation Proclomation, and the Magna Carta were some of the big ones. Tash and I had fun in the gift shop after too.. lots of toys and puppets to play with ha ha. Later that night the guys made their dinner goal by a hair so at the bottom is us at dinner at Chillis.

This last week our D.C office had the best week out of the whole company this year selling over 170 accounts in one week. So our reginal manager was here and put on a BBQ for our office on sunday! There always really fun to go to because it gets everyone out together in the nice weather in a park. I saw my first fireflys when we were leaving the park! There were lots of bugs I got a little bit up! No fun!

New York weekend.

This last weekend a few of the girls from our office went to New York for one night. We took a charter bus there on Friday morning. It was a short 4 hour drive, we went through Delaware and New Jersey! When we got there we dropped our bags off at our hotel which was the Mariott Marquee on Time Square, which was awesome! We walked to central park, got some lunch, visited st.patricks cathedral, walked through chinatown and little Italy, then got some dinner. We covered a lot of area in the few hours we had. On Saturday we took the Staten Island Ferry to Staten Island past the statue of liberty. 3 of us also went to the Phantom of the Opera matinee, and it was awesome! here are some pictures. New York is so busy! When we were walking to the bus stop at the end of our trip, it was raining so it was crazy busy and everyone had umbrellas on top of that, so it was a mess!

Sunday us and a few couples went to the National Holocaust Museum. They had a lot of things from the time of the holocaust. They had personal letters, and belongings which really hit me hard. I felt pretty sad leaving and I just pray nothing like that ever ever happends again.

Baltimore

Earlier this week I went with my wonderful sister-in-law to Baltimore because she had a doctors appointment and was going to go on a hospital tour of her hospital there. She's due in less than a month now and I can not wait to be an auntie! I'm like dreaming about it!! ya ya. So we went to the appointment and then went to Target to look at some car seats and strollers. Then we went to an ultrasound and even though we couldn't see much I was so glad Murt let me come in and watch because it was way cool! We went in to Baltimore and ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, we just walked around after then went to Babe Ruths house. It wasn't that cool, but at least we talked the teenage worker kid down to a cheaper price! I wasn't about to pay 6 bucks to walk through an old house! We also got our toes painted to kill a little time before the hospital tour. I think at the hospital tour everyone might have thought we were lezbians or something because everyone was with their husband and then it was just us two girls! HA! Oh well.. The hospital is really nice! It was a fun little day trip, despite driving in the crazy rain and thunderstorm home! Here are some pics of us there!Me at the harbor

One Year Ago..

Today one year ago was the day we got engaged in Mansfield Texas where Bridger was selling. I was talking to some of the girls today about it and they said it felt like I went out to Texas to visit a lot later in the summer rather than the first weekend in June, and being here now this summer it seems like time has flown by, but when I was home without my love it sucked and felt like a lifetime! Sunday Adventures

This sunday was another tired one! A bunch of us went to Night at the museum the night before so we were zonked! So we didn't do too much site seeing. Bridger is a big fan of Travis Pastrana the motorcyclist so we found out his house is in Maryland and sure enough it was 20 minutes from our house, so we went and drove by it! Then we went to the temple and walked on a little nature trail they had in the back of it. We saw a few deer and a big spider. We went in to the visitor center and watched some of the Joseph Smith movie they had playing. When we came home bridger wanted some cake so I made him one with the number of sales he has so far since his goal was to get to 50 by the end of the month. Turns out as soon as I was done making IT he didn't feel good, and the only person thats chowed down on it so far is me! ha life Travis Pastrana

Saturday Mariah, me, Cici, Mandy, and Amber went to the white house and Capitol. Some Sri Lankins were protesting asking for help outside the white house and we all had "President Obama President Obama" "Yes you can yes you can" stuck in our heads the rest of the day. We took a tour of the Capitol and our tour guide was way cool and cracked lots of jokes. He said the next statue that California is donating to the capitol is O.J simpson lol. Utah's statue was Brigham Young! I thought that was way cool!

Two sundays ago bridge and I were so tired we didn't go anywhere and just relaxed, so this sunday we rested and then went to the Air and Space Museam. It was really neat! We also walked around the washington monument and down to the World War 2 monument. Here are some pictures! The museum was super crowded because of memorial day :(

Finally the pool has opened! All the girlies are so excited! the water is still pretty cold but we're excited to get our tan on! Our pool is really nice here at the complex!

First trip to a Smithsonian

Saturday Allayna, Laurie and I went to the Smithsonian metro stop and went to the castle and across the street to the Natural History Smithsonian. It was really neat! We were so glad that we can just go for 2 hours until we're tired and then go home instead of going non stop like other tourists! So here are some pics! Smithsonian Castle

I just want to say I'm sooo happy Kris Allen won Idol! I really loved his voice and thought he did such a good job. I liked Adam too but he was just toooo screamy and screechy for me. So i'm happy with the results!!!

Visit to the Temple Grounds

Mariah and her friend Tanya invited me to go see the Washington D.C temple tonight, it was so beautiful driving in because there were so many trees around it and all of the sudden it was there all lit up just like this picture above. It was beautiful, we we amazed! I had no idea how big this temple was, the visitor center was really neat too and they show all of the LDS videos there for anybody so we decided we'll go one day and watch a bunch, we'll have to take the tissues i'm sure since they're all so powerfull. Here are a few more pics, I just loved this temple, it was so gorgeous, i'm so gratefull for the gospel and that I can go inside the temple!

Fords Theatre** Lincoln in Love play

Mariah, Tiffany, Matasha and I went to a play last night at Fords Theatre where Lincoln was shot. The play was about how Lincoln met his wife. It was really cute. It was different because they just got up and read lines in front of a microphone, but it was cute they kind of acted it out but they didn't have a set or anything. I'm not sure if thats just called monologues or what but it was deffinatly not what we were expecting but we liked it!

Our first wives outing was on Saturday. We were planning on going to the zoo and we were going to take the Metro there so we didn't have to drive because the parking was limited. So we had to get off one stop and change to a different line, The cart we were about to get into was pretty full and I noticed Mariah was going to go to the next door so see if there was more room, but it was in a totally different cart so I jumped out to stay with her. Well as we were walking to the next door, the doors shut and it took off.. ha ha we were left behind. We were freaking out and hugging each other saying how glad we were to be with each other at least! We caught the next one and met up wtih the girls, We were sure glad we understood where to go and which stop to get off at! It was hillarious!

First trip to the city

Us at Arlington Cemetary with the Washington Monument in the background Yesterday was Sunday, so it was our first day for a trip into the city. We decided to go to Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia. It was only 12 miles from our house but took a little over a half hour to get there. It seemed to be faster on the way home though. The GPS took us through the city on the way there and on the way back it was the freeway the whole way! So that was interesting. We spent 3 hours here at Arlington. We saw the Kennedy grave site where John and Jacqueline were burried along with 2 infant children. We went in the Arlington house where Robert E. Lee lived and saw the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier, there was also an ampatheatre there where they hold ceremonies that was really neat. We took a little bus tour so that we didn't have to walk becasue the whole thing was huge!

Getting Settled

We're finally getting settled here in our apartment in Maryland. It's so green here we love it! Here are some pictures my sis wanted me to post of our apartment and the view from our balcony! We went to church here yesterday and it is very different than home, which is to be expected but it was nice and everyone was very welcoming. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we have a calling and speak in church. The bishop was eyeing all of us down :) The front of the complex kitchen & living room

Emergency Visit

The morning of our second day here in College Park, I woke up from the worst pain i've had yet with this 2 1/2 week headache i've been enduring. I was holding my head and crying when Bridge thought it was time that we really sould just go to the ER. This was merly a flashback to spring of 2005 when this same situation happened to me at Primary Childrens with a sinus infection in my mastoid sinuses in the back of my head rather than in the front of my face. I wished I was in Utah right about now.. our insurance isn't going to like this.. I got into a small room and they gave me some medicin to relieve my pain. They also did a CT scan to make sure there wasn't anything major. They didn't find anything harmful, but because of my history they suggested I see a specialist and get to a family doctor in 2 days. So now i'm in the process of finding a doctor here in Maryland. I got some medicin from the doctor and its helped a little, its just a bummer they can't figure out whats wrong because a two week headache isn't all that normal. I'm going to get a massage today to try to relieve some stress that may be causing it. Also, I ordered a yoga video next on our wonderful netfix account so hopefully it all helps! The weather is nicer today here in College Park. Bridger is doing great with his selling. He has worked 2 days and each day he's gotten 2 so he's achieving his goals, and surprisingly he says he has really enjoys it out there! So keep it up B!

The Drive to Maryland

Hey everyone, so we made it out here to College Park Maryland yesterday! It took us 3 days of driving by we made it here safe! The drive was so beautiful, we drove through Colorado through the rockies, the honda struggled a bit but it made it! Then through flat Kansas but it was awesome to see. We stayed out first night in Salina Kansas. The next day we went through Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky and stayed the next night in West Virginia. The last and final day we drove into Maryland. The drive was so green! We really do live in a desert in Utah! I want to live in Kentucky!! Minus the humidity! Here are some pictures of the drive!

Graduation

So we finally finished at Snow and graudated on May 2nd. It was really rainy and my new haircut went skiwampus but it was still fun. Then the whole family helped us move out and clean our apartment so we could get on the road to D.C!

Spring Time

For Easter this year we went to Spanish Fork and spent time with my family. Bridger had a big Platinum meeting the day before, so we were kind of just up there for the weekend. My mom and dad hid some eggs for us still, it was really fun. Krisitin and John were really really excited!

Holi Festival

So this past weekend Bridger went to the Holi festival at the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. It was called the Festival of Colors and everyone threw paint at each other. He had a ton of fun. Unfortunatly I couldn't go because of a big paper I was writing and plus I was a little worried about my contacts. I didn't bring grubby clothes either. BUT here are some pics when he came home!

Accepted!

Well I just thought I would announce that I was accepted to BYU and into my Elementary Ed program for Fall 2009. I'm really excited! Bridger is got accepted to UVU and is going to start a business program there.

This summer we are moving to Washington DC for selling for Platinum Protection. This will be Bridger's second full year. He previously sold in Dallas, TX and St.Louis. We are really excited for the opportunity to live in the nations capital! especially over the fourth of July! We are graduating from Snow May 2nd and are heading out on the 3rd. We have loved our time and experience here at Snow, but we're ready to move on out of Ephraim. lol.

Spring Break 2009!

This past week Bridger and I went to Mesa Arizona so Bridge could do some pre season selling in the warm weather with a lot of others from our office. It was a lot of fun! We went to a dodgers spring training game, spent time at the pool, went bowling, went shopping, went to botanical gardens and visited B's cousin! And Bridge got a sale while we were there so it was well worth the trip! :)
